Nesting Options

The Nesting switch provides options to nest/re-nest or arrange/re-arrange parts on the layout. Nesting can be done by selecting the lightning bolt nesting switch found on the main job screen or by using the shortcut key H.

A. Pack the remaining sheet area automatically – This option will utilise any remaining parts and pack these into the sheet.
B. Rearrange to create a remainder sheet – This option will try to pack the parts on the layout to create a remainder sheet.
C. Rearrange to use full sheet – Rearrange parts to try and use up as much space on the sheet as possible (reduces scrap cut and tries to increase material utilisation).
D. Spread out parts horizontally
E. Spread-out parts vertically – Setting D, E&F will try to spread out the parts horizontally and/or vertically to try and reduce scrap sheet and increase material utilisation. Note that this will disregard the part gap set in the settings.
F. Spread out parts horizontally & vertically
G. Cancel – This will cancel the nesting process.
